Sick of the crowd in Bangkok city?
Why not spare a time on a weekday to visit Chocolate Ville which serves NO Chocolate!
Chocolate Ville is located at the border of Bangkok and it is 50km away from Bangkok city which takes approximately an hour.
Chocolate Ville was opened to visitors in December 2011 and since then it has become the talk of the town.
It feels like another world here with all those wonderland decorations plus Christmas hype which will drive you crazy all over the place.
Once you arrive here, you’ll see these few set-ups which I believe differ according to season.
After the information building (the above picture), the next setting is this green-red-white scooter.
Of course I went up to strike a few poses after getting my feet sinking in the sand.
Next to it, you’ll find this.
Another lovely garden set up which is for singles!
Spot the “PICK ME IM SINGLE” sign!
Just right beside the garden, there’s another vehicle decorated in Christmas ornaments with Frosty The Snowman.
And the final one is the Gas Station.
It was full-house at that time so I only capture from the side.
After we’re done with that, it’s time to explore inside the Ville.
Testing a shot with mum here.
2nd shot since 1st shot couldn’t really see her face.
Another shot of throwing presents out off the Gazebo with the cousin!
This is where the real wonderland begins.
Even the clock is dressed in Christmas ornaments.
Even toilet sign is so cute!
This is the toilet building.
Inside the toilet.
A very garden-like waiting place in case the toilet is full-house.
A place to dine-in.
Another place to dine-in
Since it was a weekday, we are allowed to freely choose where we would like to seat.
We came by another lovely garden with wooden bird houses laying on the grass.
This is just so cute!
I believe birds will love it here when the crowds are gone.
We also dropped by the Waterfront Glasshouse for some picture taking moment.
I would wanna have this in my garden.
An all-white bird cage.
After 45mins of picture taking and exploring, it’s time for dinner.
Since it was still early and partly also because it was a weekday, we are allowed to freely pick our seats.
So this is where we sat overlooking the lake and lighthouse.
The Chocolate Ville Menu
Back cover of the Menu
Deciding on what to eat.
Everyone who came here recommended Spare Ribs so this was in the list.
Also must order desserts!!
Remember what I said about Chocolate Ville which serves no chocolate?
What I meant was when someone tells you ‘You should visit Chocolate Ville’ and the first thing that comes to mind is ‘A park made up of chocolates’ or ‘A place that sells chocolates?’ or whatever which is related to chocolate, don’t you agree with me here?
But the main thing about Chocolate Ville has nothing to do with chocolate or whatsoever though they do serve chocolate desserts.
While waiting for the food, this is what we always do!
Also, when food is served that’s what we have to do too!
Taking pictures of the food!
Weihenstephan Beer (145TBH) for me.
Coconut Drink (80TBH) for Mum
Hoegaarden Beer (190TBH) for the Cousin
Half Rack Spare Ribs (450TBH) for 3 of us.
Baked spinach (260TBH) in cheese
Chocolate Lava (175TBH) for dessert!
The bill came up to 1275TBH.
When the lights are on.
More picture taking time!
Finally when we’re back out, the gas station got emptied a lil.
Our taxi driver who waited for us was so kind to be our photographer.
Taxi fee to and fro from Pratunam is 700TBH in total.
The taxi driver waited 1 and a half hours for us.
One of the many taxi drivers I like the most during our whole trip!
If you’re coming here, remember to take a picture of the map to show to the taxi driver because not many knows this place if you were to just tell them verbally.
Also, if you won’t be spending too long time there, you can ask the taxi driver to wait for you so you won’t have a hard time finding taxi back though Chocolate Ville recently offer services in helping you to call for a cab but the price will be double.
