Bukchon Hanok Village

3 Girls One Journey

Day 6 FINALE:
Samcheong-dong – Bukchon Hanok Village – Insadong

- SEOUL Diaries -

Hello Y’all!!

So sorry for the long gone. Haven’t been updating much this month.

I’ve got a whole bunch of things from travel to make-up to share with y’all and I just needed some time to sort out everything.

Just gimme a little more time for my upcoming post on shopping, travel and make-up, okay?!

So today I’ll be writing and finishing up my last post on SEOUL, Korea.

I’ve been dragging and dragging on this post for such a long time now and haven’t really had a proper time to sit down to blog on this.

In this post today, I’ll be covering the last 2 places which are;

BUKCHON HANOK VILLAGE
SSAMZIEGIL in Insadong

One of the typical spot to visit when in Seoul!

It’s the popular BUKCHON HANOK VILLAGE which has been the filming location for several well-known dramas such as “High Kick Through The Roof”, “Heartstrings”, “Personal Taste” and many more.

It’s actually walking distance from Samcheong-dong and it is recommended to plan on the same day you visit Samcheong-dong!

Read here to find out what you can do in Samcheong-dong and how to get there.

Basically there’s nothing much to do in Bukchon Hanok Village except for taking pictures all the way till the end of the village.

There are hundreds of traditional houses known as ‘hanok’ in this village which has be remained back from the Joseon Dynasty and many of the houses now runs as a cultural center, guesthouse, restaurant and tea house giving tourist the experience in learning and knowing the Korean traditional culture which can hardly be gained in the center of a big city.

So there’s actually much more to explore if you’re a big fan of such cultural things. Well, I’m not one and all I did was I only took my camera and snapped all the way. I really love the ambiance in this village which makes me wanna take every nook and corner.

Especially this lane! So in love with this one particular lane!

Even took some silly pics by the wooden door!

I was actually looking for the exact filming site for “Heartstring” but it seems all the same to me and finally gave up on spotting the right one.

Let me know if you come across the one and only pic I took here.

The murals are just way too cute!! Must be a guesthouse, I guess?!

That’s all on Bukchon Hanok Village and you can refer below on HOW TO GET THERE.

After visiting Bukchon Hanok Village, we visited Insadong last before we call it a day!

The only place that came to mind is SSAMZIEGIL when mention Insadong cos it’s like the most popular and recommended spot in Insadong if you search for Insadong!

The surroundings..

There are several nice shops that sell really nice and unique stuff which is great as souvenirs.

I came across this one very designer-like shop which I got my compact mirror from.

No idea what’s the name of the shop but it’s located on the ground floor and pretty much easy to spot.

This shop sells way too many nice things which is great to give as gifts.

Eco bags, string bags, pouches and etc.

Even some unique handmade stuffs like this one here

The compact mirrors I mentioned just now..

The friend bought a bunch back!! I actually regretted for not getting more.

I only got the triple pups design for myself.

Only one!! Couldn’t believe I only bought one!!

There’s also frames like these

and cards..

and…

A pretty ahgassi (lady)!

Another shop we spotted here sells really nice postcards.

Though it says “NO Taking Pictures” but I secretly took and was caught by the staff !! haha

Anyways, here’s one I managed to capture before I was caught red-handed.

Bought one and posted back to Mr Pink.

Other shops you can find in here are just some random one like this one here

This shop sells very unique wall clocks.

Basically it looks like this and it’s an open-air mall with many unique shops worth the explore!

Well, that’s all on these 2 places and you can refer below for more details.
